I discovered Stacy‘s beautiful work thanks to her dedication for local rescue groups. She often does pieces to promote cats who take longer to get adopted and she did great drawings for Give Me Shelter cats Sherlock and Wanda, cats that I knew and interacted with while being a volunteer. I was amazed how she managed to catch their personality in few pencil strokes. When both of my sister’s cats died of old age, only a couple of months apart, she was very affected, and I had to find a way of imprinting their faces in our mind in a sweet and original way. I therefore contacted Stacy for a private commission. Stacy’s work is very diverse but always beautiful, so everybody can find their perfect piece of art. Stacy was very receptive, and we talked about the style I wanted for the piece in order for her to design the best drawing for my sister. She worked on low quality pictures I sent her and still was able to catch this unique look in their eyes. I can only warmly recommend Stacy’s work for eternalizing our unforgettable furry friends.

I first saw Stacy’s work when she did a piece of one of my favorite PHS/SPCA shelter dogs, Tug. His features are quite similar to my dog, Priscilla, who is also a PHS/SPCA alum. Working with Stacy is a breeze. She genuinely wants to know about your animal and it shows in her work. We love our first piece from Stacy and we can’t wait to have one for each of our critters.

We heard about My Dirty Paws through Stacy’s work with SF Animal Care & Control. When we unexpectedly lost both of our cats to cancer, I knew Stacy was the one to memorialize them. I emailed her descriptions of Dharma and Toro, then sent her several photos and a video of both cats so she could “get to know them”. The piece she created was spot on. Toro, the scaredy-cat, looks like he’s ready to run and Dharma is clearly considering what trouble she can get into. The pink and red flowers behind them are a beautiful contrast to their coloring. As soon as I saw it, tears came to my eyes. We put the painting right above our TV where we can see them every day. We absolutely love it!

I first became familiar with Stacy’s work from SF Animal Care and Control. Her beautiful illustrations of shelter pets were so thoughtful and caring. Through Instagram, I was able to see more of her work and discovered she did commissions. I requested an original portrait of my cat Kadooz and was very excited to see the final artwork. Stacy was so easy to work with and I felt perfectly at ease giving her creative license with the artwork. I couldn’t be happier!
